The Affiliate Council is elected each year by the Affiliates and they provide leadership for affiliate-sponsored activities and events. The Affiliates provide a forum for active participation of affiliate members in TPCAR programs and activities, as well as networking opportunities – both Affiliate to Affiliate and Affiliate to REALTOR®.
Promotes education as a core membership benefit. The Education Committee schedules training classes for all levels of Realtor experience and maintains a list of instructors and class offerings as an up to date resource for TPCAR. The Education Committee is responsible for producing a training calendar that is comprehensive for all real estate disciplines and responsive to changing trends and demands in the industry.
Monitors local legislation affecting the real estate industry. Encourages participation among the general membership in grass roots political activities and promotes the REALTOR® movement to the membership and the public.
Plans and promotes the New Member Orientation Program. Defines and promotes member benefits. Helps to organize and promote the social events of the Association. These events include Sales Rally, Golf Tournament, Installation & Awards Banquet, etc.
Responsible for the enforcement of the Code of Ethics through ethics and arbitration hearings. Requires Professional Standards training course. Designed for Realtors® with two years’ experience in the industry.
