RPAC – REALTORS® Political Action Committee
Since 1969, RPAC has advocated for the election of pro-REALTOR® candidates across the United States. Contributions made by REALTORS® help ensure that the industry’s interests are represented in the political arena. Explore the impact of RPAC and how it protects your business:

Advocacy Wins at Every Level
National (NAR)
- Lowered mortgage insurance premiums for FHA loans by 30 basis points.
- Successfully lobbied for the introduction of H.R. 1321, which aims to increase capital gains exclusions for homeowners.
- Secured funding for affordable housing and expanded tax credits for low-income housing development.
State (WR)
- Preserved the real estate industry's essential provider status during the COVID-19 pandemic.
- Exempted real estate from capital gains tax and reduced the Real Estate Excise Tax by 15%.
- Defended independent contractor status for REALTORS® and prevented a 20% B&O tax increase.
Local (TPCAR)
- Supported the Tacoma City Council’s enactment of the "Home in Tacoma" plan, boosting middle-housing supply.
- Secured $300,000 in NAR advocacy grants to support local issues.
- Advocated for the Pierce County Village to address homelessness and successfully blocked restrictions on Short-Term Rentals.
